This is a few quick sketch portraits of figure drawing models that I combined into a montage during the drawing session. You can move the portraits around the page with a digital drawing tablet, so you can compose the group on the fly. I started with black pencil and then added some white highlights one some of the portraits and reds on one of the portraits. These were pretty quick, no more than 20 minutes or so at the most.

This was a medium length pose of about a hour total. The model was muscular and did a good job of holding a dynamic pose. Overall I was pretty happy with the drawing but could have gone longer as always. I had not been in the studio for more than a week while I was waiting for new surface pen tips and this was the first drawing, so I felt like the muse came out, so to speak.
This was a quick sketch for 20 minutes of a seated female figure drawing model. She was picking nice poses and I like the gesture but wish I had more time to develop the drawing. I just replaced my surface pen tip with a new one and it is a big improvement. There is more soft rubber and it feels more like a regular pencil as a result. I have not been drawing as much as I would like as late due to a move and new day job, so it was great to get back in the studio.
Things have been pretty busy for me recently as I had a business trip, then changed jobs and moved. I am still settling into my new job and apartment. Consequently I have not been posting as much recently. I did this portrait of a female figure drawing model in about 20 minutes. I am excited to return to a more regular schedule so I can draw more.
This was about an hour long pose with a kneeling female figure drawing model. The pose had some good twisting to it and so I liked the way it came out. She was in a hulahoop vertically but I did not have time to draw that. Overall the pose looked like a Mucha poster.
