This was a long pose of a standing female figure drawing model. I started with black pencil and then added some browns and white highlights with the pencil tool. Gesture went pretty well and I used most of the 3 hours.

Portait Long Pose
Today at the open studio one of the other artists requested I post another portrait so I decided to do one during the studio and am posting it now. Gesture went pretty well and I used the Bridgeman four line approach to start. I spent about 2 hours including breaks on this study. Black base on a ocher ground, followed by white highlights and some red or brown local color.
