Quick Sketch of Female Figure Drawing Model
This was a half an hour quick sketch of a female figure drawing model. Like the twist as it really makes the pose pop out.

Long pose with a good male model for 3 hours. Felt a little rough in execution but still liked the way it turned out despite this.
It has been a while since I posted. Getting over the flu season. This is a drawing from a week ago, which at first I did not really appreciate. Now I have decided I like it even though it is gestural. I am really enjoying the new drawing tablet, switching to the 15 inch surface book has been a real plus. The bigger screen opens up some options.
This was an hour long pose, which went pretty well. Used the black colored pencil, and really felt my new 15 inch digital drawing tablet opened up my drawing some as I could work bigger. The new digital drawing tablet is a big improvement over the iPad, and I am getting used to new program I am using. Really happy I made the switch to the 15 inch tablet.
Digital drawing of a pair of seated female figure drawing models. Each pose was about 25 minutes long. Black colored pencil on a yellow ochre ground. I finally got the colored pencil adjusted so that I liked the overall pencil size, the values I could get with various pressures and it has a nice broad feel to it when handled on the side using the tilt.
Bought a new tablet which is 15 inches and has better resolution. Had to switch operating systems to windows so I could get the bigger screen. Also had to switch programs as procreate is unfortunately only on iOS and not on windows. The first steps are the hardest but I think I am starting to the make the transition to the new hardware and software platform. Still have to find the right brushes. These are a series of 10 to 25 minute quick sketches. When I am more used to the new digital drawing set up hopefully things will go better.
Quick sketch of 20 minutes with a female figure drawing model with the pencil tool. Liked the pose and while I did not get around to drawing them, I felt the the hands on the head added a lot of tension to the pose as it stretched out the torso and pelvis.
This was a hour long reclining pose with a female figure drawing model. Some foreshortening and so a chance to work on perspective. I used the pencil tool and shrank the initial drawing a bit after the first 20 minute period to fit the rest of the abdomen and pelvis on the screen. I don’t think the image manipulation compromised the drawing any.
Reclining female figure drawing model digital tablet drawing. Had about an hour, really liked the pose and just got off a week long break from drawing due to a cold. Used the pencil tool but did not have time for highlights or brush work.
Yesterday I felt like I had got back into the swing of things with this digital drawing tablet figure drawing of a standing female figure drawing model. I was out for a couple of weeks, did not do any drawing and things were a little rough when I first got back to drawing. This was a new model and she picked a pretty hard pose but it had some tension to it and brought out the shoulder girdle. This was about an hour and I was pretty happy with the drawing.
