This was a hour long reclining pose with a female figure drawing model. Some foreshortening and so a chance to work on perspective. I used the pencil tool and shrank the initial drawing a bit after the first 20 minute period to fit the rest of the abdomen and pelvis on the screen. I don’t think the image manipulation compromised the drawing any.

Standing male figure drawing model digital drawing tablet figure drawing. Long pose and started with the pencil tool followed by highlights and some shadows with the flat brush tool. There was a nice directional lighting.
Yesterday I felt like I had got back into the swing of things with this digital drawing tablet figure drawing of a standing female figure drawing model. I was out for a couple of weeks, did not do any drawing and things were a little rough when I first got back to drawing. This was a new model and she picked a pretty hard pose but it had some tension to it and brought out the shoulder girdle. This was about an hour and I was pretty happy with the drawing.

Felt like it captured the character of the model and possibly some of the likeness. The monitor used the same color backgrounds as last time with this model so that is why is looks like the post from September 23rd.
This was a long pose and the model picked a pose with a strong twist. She had some trouble holding it and the left arm was shift around a bit a result, but it was nice to be able to work on a pose with strong contrast. Had some trouble with the drawing but eventually got it sorted out. Just black pencil on gray ground.

This was a long standing pose of a female figure drawing model. Gray ground with black pencil, followed by black, white, red and green flat brush work. Way pretty happy with this and I will post the video.
