Seated Female Figure Drawing Model Painting
Debated if I wanted to post this or not. Over the last couple of months I have been posting less as I been less free to draw in the evenings. This one was a nice example of the cross over from drawing to painting with digital media. Female model picked a nice pose. Started with the pencil tool and then added highlights and shadows with the flat brush tool. Would have liked more time to work on the values and edges, so this is still a little rough.
Long Pose of Standing Female Figure Drawing Model
This was a long pose digital drawing tablet figure painting of a standing female figure drawing model. Gesture took a while to get worked out but eventually felt good about it. Pencil drawing with flat brush mid tones, highlight and some shadows. As always would have liked more time, but it was a good model, pose and the lighting was directional.

Long pose of 4 days with standing male figure drawing model. Digital drawing tablet painting with a wide value range, starting with a drawing followed by mid tones and then working out to the more extreme values. Standing Female Figure Drawing Model
Same pose as a few weeks ago, with the same model, some of the painters were continuing thier paintings. Did a digital drawing tablet drawing with emphasis on value and lost edges and then added highlights and reds with a flat brush. Also cheated a little by making it a bit narrower with the adjust tool. I have a tendency to make things wider than they should be.

Long pose with a digital drawing tablet. Standing female figure drawing model with good lighting. Model had to stop midway through the session as the pose was uncomfortable. Switched to working on the portrait which was the same angle in both poses.
Seated Female Figure Drawing Model – Back
Gesture went well and it was a good pose by female figure drawing model with some twist. Put some hightlights in with a flat brush and then back in again with some flat brush with the base tone. Pretty happy with it but would have liked some more time for this digital drawing tablet painting.

Long pose female figure drawing model. Working with lost edges and flat brushes on a digital drawing tablet. Good lighting and set up. Drawing went well and was painterly but at times had some reworks during the painting with flat brushes.
